Rationale / 01
An export is not yet an archive.
A platform export may recover text, but it rarely preserves the reading experience: images remain remote, links decay, chronology becomes opaque, and a decade of work collapses into folders no one will browse.
Medium Archive treats preservation as publishing. It rebuilds the writing history as a coherent public collection, keeps dates and source context visible, localizes media, and offers multiple ways back into the material.
